Reply to if We Have Conscience - We Can Be One - We All Have it as One

My thanks for sharing insightful idea was to
Global Booksearch (http://www.google.com/profiles/globalbooksearch#buzz) as it was posted on Google Buzz:

This is a classic example of Winston Churchill's wisdom: "If we do not study history we are doomed to repeat it"

Are we so buried in the overload of finding and managing bits & pieces of today's data, that the picture made up by the individual components - many historic - is so obscured by our fascination with the granularity of today, that we virtually see nothing except our own image in the mirror?

It seems that the unintended consequences of many major actions become more important than the initial action itself! It is as if, many decision makers believe they are in a vacuum, devoid of history. So we repeat the drill. Yes, in slightly different circumstances, w/new characters, in different countries, but, the forward progress should be assessed as unacceptably slow.  Please read more at: http://www.google.com/profiles/globalbooksearch#buzz

P.S.: I must express that excessive pressures of speedy changes are drastic for human life and nervous system and thus are spelling and other grammatical mistakes, is not it. Thanks!

If We Have Conscience - We Can Be One

Thanks for sharing such an insightful idea. We seem to have forgotten
the history of human civilization, and have created a virtual world -
a web in which we spend our life without ever knowing who has brought
us up to modern age. We seem as if we have no feelings of reverence
and thus consequently the feelings of shame. So, we justify all that
is wrong, inhuman ... illogical, etc.... by arrangements. "Only a fool
starts an argument to win it" says Plato.

This is well applicable to New World Order in which history of human
civilization starts when Industrial and Technological Revolution
started and all ends when Computer, IT and Nano Technology starts. It
forces our brains to see our image in everything, but if we look at
the mirror of history, we can notice we all have been same and all are
individually independent as well.

Will our age end up with one thought and emotion shared among all
without having any individuality is the question that our present seem
to ask for better future, is not it. Many think and feel that it may
seem odd or even to the developed countries, but how poorly and great
desperate people of these nations are living in makes all poor in the
developed countries feel concern about the future of our world in
which we wish that developed countries make efforts to preserve the
history and all natural resources for future of entire natural world
and including humanity. I think so and I may be wrong. Thanks!

Artificial Intelligence vs the human brain - A True Story

Here is a plea to all people working on Artificial Intelligence.

Please think about what you are doing, and try to avoid loose wiring.

My wife has suffered from Post-Natal depression ever since the birth
of our son 4 and half years ago. Yesterday, I took her into hospital
again to ensure that she is safe (she is plagued by voices at the
moment) whilst the new medication ramps up to a level which is
therapeutic for her.

This, as you may expect, is quite distressing for all of us. We have
support systems in place though, and my work are being frankly
fantastic about it all.

It gets me thinking though. I can program computers to get them to
behave in particular ways, but how do you rewrite the programming in a
brain.

I recently read 'Pragmatic Thinking and Learning - Refactor your
Wetware' by Andy Hunt (www.pragprog.com).

This is great for yourself, or even trying to suggest to others. I
have found some easy to apply tips and some which I need to get round
to trying, but one thing it shows is that we have set ways of doing
things. Our Logic/Linear-mode (L-mode) tends to be dominant, and seems
to have the most influence, unless, as the book suggests, we
deliberately try to get information from our Rich-mode (R-mode).

The key thing with this though is that we control the flow of
information, we determine if we will do it. We seem to have a
controlling Sensible-mode (S-mode).

And this is what I like about Computer Programming. A computer really
only sources from L-mode, and it allows the L-mode to control it. So I
can write a program that is logical, instructs the computer, and it
doesn't get anything else influencing it (well, assuming I have taken
care of external running factors such as OS, file locations...)

My wife though, is not controlling her own thoughts. What is, we don't
know, but not her. Her S-mode seems to lose it's control. Whether the
thoughts are L-mode or R-mode based (traditionally, it would look like
those things are "Right-brain" thought processes, although when she
explains her thoughts, you could argue the Logic-mode is having a
say).

Luckily, this time, my wife's S-mode seems to be working enough to
stop her finishing the act, but she is getting somewhere close to it
(popping enough pills out of a blister pack, but at the last minute,
throwing them in the bin instead of taking them).

So where am I going with this.

My opening request is to think about AI, and not introduce loose
wiring. Truly Artificial Intelligence should be able to think both in
L-mode and have R-mode, but with an overriding S-mode to control all
the thoughts.

I like programming because what I produce only has to act logically. I
am in turmoil because my wife has some 'loose wires' which are not
allowing her to act completely rationally, and I can't fix the bug in
the program to correct it.

If AI is a true goal of the computer technology industry, then lets
hope that the coding which goes into it won't allow for the loose
wires which screw up the controller, or else we might just have a lot
of depressive machines which need careful looking after whilst we feed
them lots of pill programs to try to make them better.

Here's hoping that the pills my wife is now taking soon start to sort
out her programming. I'm glad I never became a psychiatrist.

Brain Mapping and Control by Computer - The Worst Kind of Terrorism and Extremism Humanity has Ever Faced Creating the Silence of Free Will and Conscience Inhumanly

This blog post supports www.dynamix.com, but it may create negative
opinion due to patriotism that many people do not have for nature,
earth and environment. So, please let me know if you agree or
disagree.

"Although still largely experimental, devices that decipher brain
signals are advancing quickly and allowing some fully paralyzed people
to interact with the world Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) can
trap the mind inside an immobile body. It destroys the nerves that
control muscles, eventually leaving patients without the ability to
speak or even flick their eyes to one side. In the past few years,
however, researchers have started to equip a few such "locked-in"
patients, including those paralyzed by stroke or other diseases, with
communication devices that unlock their minds.

For decades, science-fiction writers have envisioned computers that
communicate directly with the brain. Now a rapidly expanding clique of
researchers is making it a reality. A few laboratories started
developing these so-called brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) in the
1980s and have been refining them since then (Science, 29 October
1999, p. 888). Now several dozen teams have entered the field.
Together they're improving upon early BCI models and coming up with
new ways to read brain signals. According to BCI pioneer Jonathan
Wolpaw of the Wadsworth Center, part of the New York State Department
of Health in Albany, "it's a very exciting time; a lot of people are
getting involved."

Most BCIs read brain waves, the electrical impulses created by neural
activity that can be detected--albeit fuzzily--through the scalp. By
diligently controlling their mental activity, patients can choose
letters to spell words, guide a cursor, or direct crude robots. But a
rival circle of scientists is rapidly advancing a type of BCI that is
implanted inside the brain. Such devices tap into the more detailed
neural signals relayed by individual neurons. The most sophisticated
of these implanted BCIs have recently enabled monkeys to play video
games and even manipulate robotic arms. Whether the implanted devices
will actually lead to more versatile and workable BCIs than the
external type is a matter of fierce debate.

In the past few years, brain-wave BCI technologies have been advancing
rapidly, providing faster spelling, better cursor control, and headway
into prosthetics, environmental-control devices, and smart
wheelchairs. The advances are fueled in part by cheaper and more
sophisticated computer hardware and software, which has given BCI
researchers access to portable machines that perform complex
mathematical manipulations on the fly. Good old-fashioned funding
helps, too: The National Institutes of Health awarded $3.3 million in
late 2002 to a partnership headed by the Wadsworth group to further
develop software that can test several BCI systems to see which is
best for a patient. Researchers can also use the software to build and
test their own brain-tapping technologies."

href="http://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~anandk/neuro/Science%20--%20Wickelgren%20299%20%285606%29%20496.htm">here</a>.
...
The basic framework for BCI2000 is now complete, and Wolpaw expects
details to be published soon. It has four easily adaptable modules
that handle the four essential functions of a BCI. One takes the raw
brain signal, amplifies it, and encodes it digitally. Another extracts
the desired features of the brain signal, such as a mu rhythm or P300
signal, and translates that signal into a command, such as movement of
a cursor in a certain direction. The third controls a device, say, one
that navigates the Internet or operates a prosthetic arm. And the
fourth allows a user to start and stop the BCI and to specify details,
such as the speed, of its operation.

The software has already had an impact on the field. In spring 2002,
South Florida's Donchin needed to upgrade his BCI, which was
incompatible with state-of-the-art PCs, so he could start testing
disabled patients. Donchin met with Wolpaw and Schalk at a BCI
conference in Rensselaerville, New York, in June 2002 and described
his predicament. Schalk volunteered to do the necessary programming on
BCI2000. Within 2 weeks, Schalk managed to get Donchin's BCI up and
running, enabling Donchin to bring it to New York City to test it on
his first patient (this author's father) in September.

Georgia State's Moore and her colleagues are using BCI2000 to develop
an environmental-control system that allows a user to turn on and off
lights, a television set, and a radio with brain waves. They've also
built a communication system in which a person can select words from a
list of nouns, verbs, and objects, and that will predict words and
even conversations, potentially providing faster communication than
traditional spellers allow. Their Web browser causes a cursor to hop
from one Web link to the next in response to altered brain signals.

So far these prototype applications have been largely tested on
simulated brain signals, but Moore has just started testing them on
healthy volunteers and will soon include patients with spinal cord
injuries or early-stage ALS. Eventually, Moore plans to run all of
these applications on a laptop mounted to a smart wheelchair under
development that will also be controlled by brain waves.

The other point is that it can create opinions, change them, make one
hate or love.

For example, one may start loving China or Hate it based on this
experiment. The same is true for Musical and any other religion,
community, civilizations and far more that words do not allow.

It has brought all human values, ethics and philosophical thinking to
collapse in the laboratories. The terrorism in the world, wars, and
all that we see, hear or view in media is just hiding this grave
experimentation leading to extinction of human wisdom.

We need to pay attention to it lest it is too late. Please pray or
seek that this global and thus universal suffering must come to an end
as soon as possible. Thanks!

The richest people are now running the world in science, trade and technology. Do they make all scientists and technologists to work only for them?

It seems that the group of richest people are now running the world in
science, trade and technology. They make all scientists and
technologists to work for them. They are not many, but if anyone
opposes them they work as if a mafia.

The politicians and global market is set by them all possible ways to
benefit them in the best possible.

Most of the global movements that seem philanthropic, religious,
education and thus all that make more earning is just their tools. It
simply keeps public silent.

Thus, no one knows, who is the boss. However, our systems are thus has
gone corrupt. The only solution seems easy and helpful is to trust our
conscience. Thanks!

for greater good, we have to support what favors all equally not some
people, who simply want to be rich or always keep getting richer this
way or that. It is thus about social health and health of nature from
which we use all resources. We may agree, disagree or give no opinion.
It depends.

Kerala: Asia's Cradle of Christianity - Saint Thomas, the only Apostle who went outside the Roman Empire to preach the Gospel

Thomas the Apostle, also called Doubting Thomas or Didymus (meaning
"Twin"), was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus. He is best known for
disbelieving Jesus' resurrection when first told of it, then
proclaiming "My Lord and my God" on seeing Jesus in John 20:28. He was
perhaps the only Apostle who went outside the Roman Empire to preach
the Gospel. He is also believed to have crossed the largest area,
which includes the Persian Empire and India. (Source: <a

St. Thomas Christians and other Christian sects in Kerala History

The St. Thomas Christians of Kerala firmly believe that St. Thomas the
Apostle is the father of Christianity in India. According to their
tradition, he landed at Maliankara, near Cranganore in 52 A.D. He
preached Christianity first among the Jews and then converted twelve
Brahmin families from whom the Syrian Christians trace their
genealogy. St. Thomas also founded seven churches at the following
places: Maliankara, Palayur, Kottakavu, Quilon, Niranom, Nilakkal,
and Chayal. After several years of work in Malabar, the Apostle went
to the Coromandel Coast (East Coast) where he was assassinated by
irate Brahmins (or by a hunter) in 72 A.D. This tradition along with
many others legends is found in ancient Christian songs (seventeenth
century and later) like the Veeradian Pattu, Thomma Parvom, and Margom
Kali Pattu. The Acts of St. Thomas, an apocryphal work by the Syrian
Bardesan (220 A.D.) also mentions the missionary work and martyrdom of
St. Thomas in India. (Please read more <a
href="http://www.kerala.cc/keralahistory/index36.htm">here</a>

The lure of spices attracted traders from the Middle East and Europe
to the many trading ports - Calicut, Cranganore, Cochin, Alleppey and
Quilon - long before the time of Christ. And it was on a trading
vessel plying between Alexandria and the Malabar coast that St. Thomas
the Apostle arrived in Cranganore in 52 AD.

There he began preaching the Gospel. His teachings were accepted not
only by those who chose to become Christians but also by those who
chose to remain Hindus. The teachings eventually got integrated into
the beliefs and traditions of the local communities, into their family
history, into their songs and dances. St. Thomas established seven
Christian communities or churches in Kerala. They are in Cranganore,
Paravur(Kottakavu), Palayoor, Kokkamangalam, Malayattoor, Niranam,
Chayal (Nilackal) and Kollam (Quilon). Throughout Kerala, one can find
Christian families that are proud to claim descent from ancestors who
were baptized by Apostle Thomas. Sankarapuri, Pakalomattom and
Maliekal are the prominent ones. Some details of this combined
tradition may be found in songs - the "Rabban Pattu", the "Veeradyan
Pattu", the "Margam Kali Pattu" and others that now exist in written
records.

The Church in Kerala had a high missionary spirit. Christians from
Malabar spread their faith as far as Maldives and Indonesia.

St. Thomas Christians were considered high caste, along the Hindu
tradition, with special privileges granted by the kings. The
archdeacon was the head of the Church, and Palliyogams (Parish
Councils) were in charge of temporal affairs. There were women
deacons. They had a liturgy-centered life with days of fasting and
abstinence. Their devotion to the St. Thomas Cross was absolute. Their
churches were modelled after Hindu temples. In short, the St. Thomas
Christians of Kerala had blended well the ecclesiastical world of the
East Syrian Church with the socio-cultural environment of their
homeland. Thus, the East Syrian Church was Hindu in culture, Christian
in religion and Syro-Oriental in worship.

system creating disturbance everywhere.

Hypnosis is Used in Study of Emotions

(NaturalNews) There is a lot still to be learned about emotions.
Approximately 20 years ago, researchers were under the impression that
emotions and feelings originated with the heart, not the brain. They
also believed that emotions could not be measured with scientific
research. In more recent years, researchers have found that emotions
can play a major role in a person's overall health. A non-invasive way
to study feelings and emotions is through the use of hypnotherapy and
brain images (Brain & Emotions Research).

Feelings and emotions are created from one's own perception. When a
person feels a specific emotion, it is usually triggered by a thought
and this thought is triggered by a past experience. This process can
occur consciously or unconsciously without a person realizing it.
Examples of emotions include happiness, joy, and contentment which are
all positive emotions. Negative emotions include fear, anger, and
pain.

Basically, there are good emotions and bad emotions. Emotions reside
in the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind tells the conscious
mind how to feel. Of course, people would rather feel good emotions
instead of bad emotions. The subconscious mind can be accessed using
hypnosis to change negative emotions into positive emotions (Oso).

One study looked at hypnotic suggestion, emotions, and pain. Hypnotic
suggestion was used to induce specific emotions. Then, the researchers
looked at how the various emotional states affected pain. They found
negative emotions such as fear and sadness increased the level of
perceived pain in participants. However, when positive emotions were
hypnotically induced, the positive emotions that resulted were static
and did not continue to increase. The significance of this study is
that certain emotions can be created with hypnosis without side
effects. The induction of hypnosis gives more control to the
researcher and does not create secondary emotions.

Other studies have used hypnosis on the study of emotions using both
highly suggestible and low suggestible participants. When highly
suggestible participants were given hypnotic suggestions to be
'emotionally numb' or unaffected by either positive or negative
emotions, researchers found that they were not susceptible to the
emotions and that the hypnotic suggestions were able to produce a
numbing affect on their emotions. When comparing highly suggestible
people to low suggestible people, the highly suggestible participants
experience more emotional numbing (Rainville, 2002).

The study of hypnotic suggestions plays a positive role in studying
the science of emotions. It gives researchers control over what
emotions to induce. By studying both highly suggestible people and low
suggestible people, it gives researchers greater insight into the
study of emotion.

The new rules of imperialism: Economic warfare, consumer products and disease exports

History tells us that imperialist nations quite predictably invade
weaker nations on a regular basis... especially when those weaker
nations happen to be standing on valuable natural resources like oil
or uranium. Thanks to this desire for strategic control over
territories, the twentieth century was the bloodiest in human history,
with more people being lost to war, greed and conquest than during any
single century in recorded history (including the centuries spanning
Greek and Roman civilizations).

War remains as supported as ever today, and in fact, many nations
actually thirst for war. Just look at the pro-war coverage on Fox News
and the unending war games being played on computers and game consoles
by young men who find entertainment in war. (In fact, the U.S. Army is
actually recruiting young men now through a free, downloadable video
game that teaches young boys how to pick up a rifle and kill people
with it.)

Why some nations create war

The people of some nations actually create war (or support it) in
their quest to express a sense of nationalistic heroism. Failing
nations need heroes, and when those heroes are no longer found in the
realms of science, art, politics or global achievement, they will be
fabricated from the false victories of war.

The tearful American mom whose son dies in Iraq is, indeed, suffering
a tremendous personal loss, but her loss is a necessary part of
feeding the population's desire to proclaim there are heroes among
them. Through the sacrificing of young men who are killed in Iraq, the
people of America can find common connection, righteousness, and
purpose where none existed before. War gives meaning to empty lives,
and it delivers a masochistic form of entertainment to those who are
too young, too old or too wealthy to participate. This is precisely
why, throughout human history, the leaders of failing nations have
habitually turned to military imperialism as a method to distract the
people from far more serious problems at home. When the sons of a
nation are returning home in body bags, nobody pays much attention to
failures in education or the economy.

This is not to say that there are not some instances in which going to
war has genuine justification. When a nation is threatened by an
invading force, for example, going to war to defend your own land
against invading aggressors is not only necessary, it is also truly
heroic. Defending your own land is courageous; invading your
neighbor's land is cowardly. (Some people claim, by the way, that the
only way to protect America's land is to invade other countries first.
This concept, called "preemptive war" is based on mass distortions
used to falsely justify actions of war.)

In America today, the thirst for war remains as strong as ever. But
the real war being waged on the world right now by America is not
merely found in the limited military action in the Middle East. That's
only the blunt instrument of this war. The real American invasion is
happening through foods, medicines, personal care products,
international banking and intellectual property law. Through the
proliferation of fast food restaurants, pharmaceutical companies,
chemically-contaminated consumer products and similar items invented
in America, the world is being bombarded by systems of food, medicine
and distorted intellectual property claims that are producing far more
casualties than any bombs-and-bullets war.

How to control a nation

In World War II, the Germans attempted to steal natural resources from
neighboring nations by forcefully occupying and controlling the
targeted territories. Today, war is far more sophisticated: America
steals national resources by patenting seeds, genes, medicines and
ideas, then applying economic and political pressure against targeted
nations to forcefully take a cut of their productivity through the
application of intellectual property law. Only Thailand has offered
any sort of resistance in an attempt to protect its people from the
predatory, monopolistic drug pricing of Big Pharma, for example, but
most countries just go right along and pay tribute to the western
world through outrageous patent royalties on medicines that should
belong to the people.

If that's not enough to dominate the targeted nation's economy,
America sends in the World Bank. The World Bank makes predatory loans
to desperate nations, knowing full well they cannot pay them back. It
then uses the leverage of debt to invade those nations with western
financial institutions. Those banks and lending institutions
subsequently turn around and engage in predatory financial practices
that soak the people of the target nation, skimming off productivity
and exporting it back to the West where rich white men cash in
billions without a single honest day's work.

The World Trade Organization, for its part, makes sure that targeted
nations comply with imperialistic western trade practices. The huge
push of Big Tobacco into Asia, for example, is the result of support
by "world trade" proponents who threatened to impose trade sanctions
against Asian nations if they tried to ban cigarette advertising.
Today, more than a third of Chinese men are addicted to cigarettes,
generating billions in annual profits for Big Tobacco companies who
are right now producing more Chinese casualties than any war in
China's long history.

Western medicine is also invading the continents around the world,
bringing its expensive, heartless and corporate-controlled system of
medicine to nations who were actually far healthier, happier and more
financially solvent before America showed up with all its patented
chemicals. Chinese medicine, for example, is routinely discredited in
China by arrogant Chinese doctors who went to med school in America
then returned home to betray their own fellow citizens. Drug companies
see China's one billion people as nothing more than revenue-generating
patients, and convincing all those people to take more medicines will
require a well-planned, well-funded economic and philosophical assault
on Chinese medicine. Essentially, Big Pharma must find a way to
disconnect the Chinese from their heritage, turning them all into
depressed, diseased "white" consumers whose medical mythology worships
the falsehoods of western reductionism.

How to end cruelty to people, animals and nature, and create a world without war and environmental destruction

What is cruelty? It is any harmful action taken against another living
entity that disregards its consciousness or awareness. In this essay,
we'll explore some of the levels of cruelty: how it happens, how it's
defined, and what we can do to help end cruelty and enhance compassion
in the world. Cruelty exists in three distinct realms: cruelty against
mankind, cruelty against animals, and finally, cruelty against nature.

Let's start with cruelty against mankind, in which one individual may
be cruel to another for a variety of reasons, usually relating to
gaining personal control over resources (food, money, etc.) or other
people. This concept of personal gain is an important factor in
understanding human cruelty, since individuals are usually only cruel
to others because they gain something from it. In fact, this is
designed into our behavior and has been carried through our ancestry
for hundreds of thousands of years. Picture this: two cavemen are
sitting around a fire at the end of the day. One spent hours gathering
berries, and the other has nothing. The caveman with nothing can
attack the caveman with the berries, take his fruit, and be all the
more successful for it, at least in terms of survival and control of
resources.

From an anthropological point of view, there is an incentive for
deceit, theft, and even harming other individuals, as long as it
results in some sort of personal gain. In fact, we see this across
virtually all species, but especially in those that are most closely
related to humans, such as primates.

Today, we see the very same thing happening when one nation attacks
another nation in order to control its resources. Attacking a nation
to take control of its oil supply is essentially the same as beating a
caveman over the head and stealing his berries. It just goes to show
how little we've actually advanced over the years.

This brings us to a salient point: ending cruelty requires moving past
our ancestral roots, and past the behaviors that are programmed into
us because they once helped us succeed in an uncivilized world. Today
we have to recognize that cruelty is not acceptable in the
international community. It is not acceptable to attack and kill other
human beings for any reason, and certainly not to take control of
their resources in order to enrich ourselves.

Likewise, it is not acceptable to exploit poverty-wage labor in
third-world countries in order to enrich corporations and their CEOs
in developed nations. But this is no anti-trade rant: free trade is
essential for lifting poor nations out of poverty, but only when
combined with mechanisms that respect the sanctity of human life such
as safe working conditions, living wages, and a system of recognizing
private property ownership for the poor. Read "The Mystery of Capital"
by Hernando DeSoto, which is among the most important economic books
of the last 100 years, to learn the real reasons why free trade has
failed to provide economic freedoms for underdeveloped nations (and
what we can do to change that).

Beyond war and economics, we also see cruelty in the world of
medicine. Conventional medicine has a long and sordid history of using
human beings for medical experiments, even right here in the United
States. In fact, news recently surfaced about a hospital that had been
using retarded children in radiation experiments.
[link='http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLD,GGLD:2005-08,GGLD:en&q=retarded+children+radiation+experiments+hospital']Click
here for a Google search on this topic.[/link]

This and many other medical experiments have been conducted on living,
breathing people right here in the United States. This is one of the
most egregious forms of cruelty, in that it is a harmful action taken
against these people, and that it refuses to recognize the
consciousness, spirit or awareness of these individuals. Just because
someone cannot speak in words that we understand, or communicate with
us in the manner in which we are used to communicating, doesn't mean
that they don't feel pain, fear, pleasure or love. Thus, these medical
experiments are a horrifying form of cruelty, and many continue to
this day (behind closed doors, of course).

Wild Neighbors - The Humane Approach to Living with Wildlife

Every year billions of animals are killed for food, fur, laboratory
experiments, or are used and abused for entertainment. There are small
things we can do to stop or help reduce this cruelty to animals.
Living closely with such sensitive, vulnerable animals, we know how
much bunnies love to live, have fun and how smart they are. But we
should also realize that they are not the only animals who suffer at
the hands of humans. Cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, etc. have feelings
of fear, pain and love - they are cute and loving too!

To help reduce the suffering of these defenseless, voiceless animals,
the best thing we can do is to avoid supporting people or companies
who profit from their suffering.

Live with Dr. Elson Haas: Bestselling author, pioneering doctor and
nutritional detox expert

Mike: A lot of people are familiar with detox, but some are not, and
from a nutritional standpoint, they certainly may not be familiar with
what it involves. What type of detox do you focus on?

Dr. Haas: Well, detoxification involves getting rid of things from the
body as well as stopping toxins and irritants in the body, those
things that our body does not handle well or that cause damage,
inflammation, irritation or over-stimulation in the case of caffeine
or over-sedation in the case of alcohol. Now, when people think of
detox, they think of drug addicts who need to go into a detox center.
However, there are many others who could benefit from detox. It is
really the more common, everyday people who have habits that I call a
SNACC -- which stands for sugar, nicotine, alcohol, caffeine and
chemicals. Probably well over 90 percent of people have a habit of at
least one of these substances. I think over time our habits are what
create our problems, especially what we eat.

Mike: So, that's sugar, nicotine, alcohol, caffeine and chemicals?

Dr. Haas: SNACC -- sugar, nicotine, alcohol, caffeine and chemicals.
The chapters in the book, The New Detox Diet, cover each of those.

Mike: When you say chemicals, what type of chemicals are you referring to?

Dr. Haas: I am referring to food chemicals in processed foods, food
additives, food coloring and food flavoring. I am referring to
chemicals that we use in over-the-counter medicines and even
prescription medicines. I am not telling people just to go off all
these things, although getting off the food chemicals certainly does
not hurt.

I find if we go through the detoxification process, we do not just
turn to medicines or drugs. If we do not feel well, we more clearly
ask ourselves, "Why am I not feeling well? What is the problem? What
are the causes of this problem?" We do this through an integrated
approach, and we don't just say, "What can I take to make this to go
away?"

We focus more on why a problem is present and what is needed for
healing. Typically, one of my overall philosophies in medicine and
healthcare is that our body -- and how we feel and how we look and
whether we are healthy or not -- is result of our life. It has to do
with our genetics, our upbringing and the way we go about living --
our diet, our exercise levels and our stresses. Even illnesses that we
have had over time and how we went about treating them can be a
factor.

We often just treat symptoms with drugs and don't really work on why
the symptoms presented themselves in the first place. Most of us do
not live perfectly. Most of us do not live in a way that creates
disease. I encourage people to support health. I do what I call
"health care," and I do less "disease care." In other words, I focus
people on the positive -- the things that they can do -- and also on
the negative -- the things that they should avoid. Detoxification
involves both things. There are a lot of positive actions we can take,
and there are also things to avoid, so there are two aspects of
detoxification and preventative medicine.

Mike: Right.

Dr. Haas: The basic ideas of lifestyle medicine and preventative
medicine include nutrition, exercising and moving the body to keep it
working and flexible, getting proper sleep, learning to manage stress
and keeping a positive attitude. What I have found since I became a
doctor in early 70s is that I must get people to shift their attitude
to a more positive one and remind them that this is the only body they
have, so they must think, "I am going to love it, and I am going to
take care of it." If I can instill that attitude and inspire that
attitude in my patients or people who read my books or people who hear
me speak in public, they are likely going to eat better and exercise
and make sure they get proper sleep and can deal with stressors.
Attitude is really an important factor.

Mike: I want to talk about your philosophy that certain elements of
nutrition are necessary but others -- like the elements SNACC -- must
be avoided. What are the common criticisms you hear about this? Have
you heard the criticism like, "People should enjoy life and not try to
avoid everything that we say is causing disease?" What is your
response to that kind of criticism?

Health Problems of Present and Future - Are You Aware about the Difference We Can Make Together

There are so many mental health problems. However, as my approach is
from Ayurveda - Yoga and Naturopathy with guidelines from Natural
Philosophy and Humanistic Psychology, I differ in approach and it does
not deny that these diseases do not exist.

In Indian way, as I have described above considers that human body and
mind can be diseased, but not the conscience. So, one is never
considered sick or diseased, but body and mind can be. The conscience
or as some people also call it soul does not get sick.

We know it well said and thus prayed: "O Dear God! I strong in the
spirit, but weak in the flesh, so please help me"

This weakness in flesh includes all parts and organs of body that
also included our brain (or mind the activities of brain, and you know
it better than me).

We notice that if someone goes into a well, and when oxygen is very
low feels grabbed or held by spirits is a common problem. The same
problem is there when there is lack of not just oxygen, but social,
economical, psychological, biological and all that relates to body and
mind and thus its proper functioning and coordination.

If one in the presence of all that is needed does show mental symptoms
(it includes greed, corruption, dictatorship, self-righteousness and
so many other things, which person in good conditions may not accept
as abnormal, but we know it is also psychological problem). Moreover,
what we say disease, it is more natural as pollution causes diereses.

We are not able to give company to others that want to communicate,
and a stage comes when they really become sick and thus it seems that
they are really sick and diseased. However, initially, they may be
fit. Moreover, good company and living in commune with nature makes
lesser effects of shadows that human our subconscious mind and one
hears voices, the hidden motive overpowering super ego and thus one
may easily lose control on actions that ego controls with the help of
super ego. The id level starts to create strong compulsive disorders
that seem as if one is being compelled. This compulsion is very normal
as there is no super ego and less ego control.

So, I am not saying that there is anything wrong, but how long one can
dwell on medicines and treatments, when all have some potential that
they do not know to use. It seems there is need of change in way the
patients are treated. Our doctors and technologists experiment on
millions of animals and birds and derive theories from them, but the
natural philosophy is to observe human nature and not do
experimentation as it may harm our originality. In the influence of
drugs, one may think and behave abnormally, but it does not mean one
can never recover with help from all. What we lost is faith and trust,
the resulting suspicion seem to have made us mentally sick one way or
the other from hypertension to all that we can include in the mental
health problem.

Our social structure has gone beyond all ethics and value systems,
resulting in our doubting one another. Most of us are afraid of being
cheated, robbed, abused, threatened and all kinds of loses. It can
never be cured simply by brain surgeries or anything similar including
the drugs as we need good quality in all that relates to our body and
mind, and thus the pollution and corruption free environment.

The drugs and removing affected parts of brain by surgery may not
convince the conscience as one knows what is wrong in the society. If
it keeps going on, we may react out of apathy and artificial effects
of compulsive commands known as <a
href="http://www.johnbutlertrio.com/central/viewtopic.php?id=588">buy
or die button</a>.

The <a href="http://agricultural-biotechnology.suite101.com/article.cfm/harms-of-genetically-modified-food-crops">food
problems</a> are also harming us.

<a href="http://www.humansfuture.org/artificial_intelligence_robotics.php.htm">Artificial
Intelligence</a> needs attention and <a
href="http://www.enchantedmind.com/html/science/artificial_intelligence.html>Nanotechnology</a>
as well.

The other discussions include Nano, GM, and whatever artificial it can
be as on this site: http://www.nanoethics.org/paper032706.html

If not checked by the world community, we the humans; all of it can
almost kill the human conscience, and finally the existence of life.

We need to be aware, and help one another. Thanks!

Hair Loss - Jason Advices

It is simply a comment on what Jason Cline says:

Dear Jason, your words give a great relief to people losing their
hair. We mostly dwell and live on self-assumed assumptions that are
not compatible with nature and its laws and principles. As most of us
are habitual of living in the conditioned way, our reactions towards
life and lifestyle are similar and we all know what others think of us
when we consider our behavior and also appearance and personality as
you have rightly said. It makes us more psycho (the psyche problem)
and less thinkers as we do not have skill of expressing personal
feelings and opinions that need the communication skill as you have
used, we do not have way to express due to fear of rejection, the
other impact of psychological conditioning that controls the social
behavior and trends. Lot can said and written about it, but all is
hidden in what you have said in a question - "Why do we constantly
fight natural occurances?"

Thanks for sharing your insight.

You may kindly read the full post in the thread at the <a

Should the Medical and Technological World Set the World Ethics - Philosophy and Ethics

We understand that world does not need it and thus the end of surgical
barbarism known as the lobotomy, it is very wonderful <a
href="http://factoidz.com/the-end-of-surgical-barbarism-known-as-the-lobotomy/">article</a>.
We need more attention to advance level technology used in medical
world that may harm the free will and its freedom of use.

The world ethics are set by philosophers and thinkers, not the
doctors, who in many parts of the world seem to be technologists as
they are technically skilled in surgical and other works. So, in a
way, the machine and computers seem to control humans, animals and
other living ones, including the philosophy of the world, we the
humans. It seems to true to many people.

It may seem as if one assume oneself a victim, but by all means
whatever wrong, the unethical and inhuman happens in the natural
world, including humans is global suffering and if we can feel it, we
can think about it. It is a wonderful series of factoids.

I happen to study and pass Philosophy for one year at University of
Adelaide, South Australia. Thanks!

How to Understand Schizophrenic Gifts - Part 3

The artists and sportsperson, they always believe to be the best and
if they do not assume, they may keep considering not able to compete
or incompetent.

When we write a poem or story, we may not like any criticism, even the
editing by the best editor cannot change the content.

Nowadays, the creative people (rich with creative intelligence)
struggle a lot, so they develop sense of competition as society does
not show any true regard or respect to them, they are not well paid
either as the showman - the movie actor, who plays even the role of
Lord Jesus gets paid. However, the one, who truly follows Lord Jesus
may face struggle and suffering, the poverty included.

The completion in society is creating great extremes that are worse
than schizophrenia. Many are committing suicides (self-assumption to
consider too right), becoming terrorist (self-assumption of correcting
others), medical mania (self-assumption that medical experiments can
create behavior modifications as if they are Lord Jesus or perhaps
God).

We all struggle within. If I search for "God created man in His Own
Image" it has some sense that I must consider I can be like Him.

I do agree that based on symptoms, these diseases can be right and
need treatment, but counseling is what all need that used to be
company or congregation, which is getting rare or almost absent.

If we keep anyone alone for months and years, it is natural that some
behavior changes will surely occur, and these may need medicines.
However, if we use psychology for our self, it is Philosophy and when
we use Philosophy on others it is Psychology (a way of conditioning
others).

These things are making able people unable to handle the people, who
influence the society with power, money and misuse of all that we have
as humans.

I am sorry, I cannot agree that schizophrenic need to be considered
mentally sick. We are not able to understand them the way they need to
be understood in perspective and context of and as art, which has lost
its essence in the modern world as the ethics have.

We will continue. Thanks!

Jessica Watson: Australian Teenager Sails Round the World

Today, Saturday 15 May 2010, at 1:53pm Australian time, sixteen year
old Australian, Jessica Watson berthed in Sydney, Australia after more
than 200 days sailing unassisted around the world. She achieved her
goal of doing the journey before her 17th birthday, in three days
time.

Jessica left Sydney on 18 October 2009, amidst a lot of criticism. Her
parents especially were criticized for allowing one so young to make
the journey. However, as she had been sailing since she was eight
years old, they believed in her ability to undertake the journey.

Jessica sailed a 10.23m Sparkman & Stephens S&S 34 boat named Ella's
Pink Lady. She set out from Sydney, Australia on 18 October 2009. The
regulations stated that she must not at any time moor into any port or
make contact with any boat. She was, however, allowed advice over
radio communication. Another regulation stated she must cross the
equator, which she did near the Pacific island of Kiritimati on 19
November 2009. On 25 January, 2010 Jessica and Ella's Pink Lady passed
the halfway mark of the journey, after 100 days at sea.

Why it is Difficult to Sell Your Books

You see the marketing and publicity has put the original works into
dark. During recent decades, the tastes has been created and thus
readers crave for certain topics only.

Your works can be highly appreciated by the intellectuals and wise
readers, but majority will not pay any attention to it as the taste is
something conditioning that they pick the book without even reading
the contents.

For example, if you write how to be rich, how to win others, how to
influence people, and so on - most of the readers go for it. There are
so many writers, who simply read some books and copy paste some
contents from here and there, and then goes it marketing and publicity
through media. This is called trends. It has its own peak time, so you
do not need to panic about it. It is as normal as natural.

However, if you can present your work in such a way that readers find
your reflections as something that can be useful it can make a
difference.

When we write, we think and when we sell we need to know how to market
otherwise we may keep thinking our works as if of great worth, but the
reader may not even know anything about you and your works.

When trends go to peak, all efforts go into vain, so the best thing is
to publish about 100-500 copies of your book and sell it. During this
process, you will learn a lot. It will also help you to improve your
marketing. Otherwise, it is not easy to get results just thinking
about how to sell. I hope you can do something about it and if you
face or feel any problem, please let me know.

Thanks for your reading it.

Do You Feel Gender Conscious in Presence of Opposite Sex

As a writer from East, I am really impressed with Carol's series about
sexually abused children. My observation and experiences say that this
series has such a brilliance that if children and young people learn
it they may make difference in their life.

One of the main point is that some respected and reputed people can
blame even the innocents as sexually delinquent. This misuse of
technology may prove it the modern scientific tests in which the
gender awareness may appear as sexual urge controlled by the person,
may it be a male or a female. This gender awareness (in the presence
of opposite sex or in cases even the appearance of it) is very common
among the introvert and shy people, so they may appear and can be
easily proved as sexually imbalanced.

The introvert and shy people are mostly nature lovers, and they keep
on appreciating the beauty in diversification, the difference in
gender is among these points, they also see the similarities as well.
For example, a boy looking at a girl may be looking as if she is his
real sister or mother, but all of it may go as if Freud's wisdom as
the modern technology at times says what one wants to prove, is not
it.

This is same as is the case in schizophrenia or even compulsive
disorders. The mental compulsion to enjoy the beauty in nature may be
controlled as these introvert and shy people try to hide their
feelings. It may also appear the hidden motives that computers can
prove as hidden intention controlled and thus person trying to be nice
cleverly.

This cleverness is the control from super ego, giving direction, but
certainly not from simply controlling behavior with strong use of
intellect. I may have less authentic words as I am not that highly
educated in English.

We also need to learn it from <a
href="http://www.examiner.com/examiner/x-33888-Montreal-Mental-Health-Examiner~y2010m5d12-Loss-of-innocence-sexually-abused-children--Conclusion?#comments">this
series</a>.

I thank Carol Roach for writing to create respect for gender.

Thanks for reading it.

Should Only Few People Rule the Minds of the World and Nature

We need to consider if only few people with high grade or intelligence
should rule or govern the world in its newly formed New World Order?

The answer is NO. We all have free will and even God or prophets do
not force or influence and interfere when it is a question of free
will.

This choice of free will is the root cause of human evolution.
However, some diseased people, whom medically we consider
schizophrenic are highly philanthropic and humanitarian with great
compassion and concern for world and nature. It may appear that they
can be advanced to high level of intelligence, say using artificial
intelligence in such a way that they lead the world, while they are
also controlled as they cannot execute their free will, but follow
what the think and believe for the greater good of the world and
nature. Thus, they are suffering more than anyone else.

When we discuss about brain power and artificial intelligence, we
consider many things in which the creative intelligence needs serious
attention. As we have discussed the schizophrenic are very
intellectual in a creative way and at the same time very intelligent.
However, they are also very humble and obedient - a discipline that
develops their creative intelligence.

Do you think that such people should be allowed or used to rule or
guide the world. The answer again is NO. The reason is simple the free
will is what makes conscience make a difference in making greater good
for all that everyone can do without lots of guidance as all need to
develop themselves.

So, we cannot make brilliant brains to have high ego as equivalent to
God, prophets, peace messengers and similar level that the
schizophrenic may assume or feel. It also happens when one is under
the influence of drugs, the antidepressant. Should they be continued
for long time, one may become similar to angelic person, but it is not
still the right way. We cannot make robots rule or guide us.

The Yoga and mediation gives us free will used for greater good of
all. The purpose of life is to fulfill needs not greed. If science and
technology advances to make such brain and or mental changes it will
end up in making the genetically modified unreal or artificial veggies
and fruits. We may have humans that are artificial if science advances
too much in this direction.

In my opinion, it should be banned in a very serious manner as we do
not simply need freedom of speech, but also freedom of free will. It
will make this natural world really beautiful again. We all need a
beautiful natural world to live not genetically modified or advanced
with Nano Technology.

I am sure that world community will pay attention to this utmost
import issues that our children are going to face due to brain
experimentation that can program any brain, not yours and mine though.
In any case, it is matter of ethics and value system that we need to
maintain without programing, but training, teaching and counseling as
all prophets, saints, holy and visionary people have always done, is
not it. :)

Thanks for your reading it.

How Media Influences Our Human Relationships

Many times, we do not understand that need and desire differ. We seem
to think that desire is need and thus misunderstandings take place due
to inner conflicts. The one, who claims that feelings of reverence are
love says it out of desire that anyone can have to posses anything one
likes, the desire stuff.

However, if we realize that need is not desire, all can easily coexist
as it gives us the sense of how affinity works, but desire can make
one think and feel about how attraction spell works as if
self-hypnotism.

The media spoils the relationship as it shows what one wishes or
desires to see, read and or view. Thus, it hypnotizes the audience,
many may cry while watching a sad scene, but never cry when they see
it in real life.

So, in a way media has left the part of need, what ought to be shown
through it. This distortion in the classical music (creative arts),
literature and other marvels have made pus feel that what media says
is truth, but the lived truths are real not imitation of it, is not
it.

Thanks for your reading it.

How to Understand Schizophrenic Gifts - Part 2

Let us consider a girl, who is being treated as schizophrenic, but has
lot of knowledge and wisdom, while claiming to have gift of prophecies
and can see future in visions or dreams.

She is not wrong in work, but in the way of presentation. The highest
level of technology that we are using now also checks through audio
and video, the same thing that dreams and visions (the advance level
of meditation going to subconscious while awake).

The Nano Technology uses the entire conscious tracing to prove the
things scientifically, but it is not a philosophical way at all.

Know Thyself is a universal way of gaining knowledge and wisdom, we do
learn it through dreams and visions as Holy Bible describes it, Chris
Hansen has written a lot about it.

The Revelations do it, one has dreams pertaining to future. It is normal thing.

However, I do not agree that she is scientifically right. She is a
great interpreter, and it does not need any label. She wants attention
from others and thus proving it in many ways just shows her
helplessness as we usually do not follow the ancient theories anymore.

If one claims that one can tell future as a prophesier scientifically,
it may seem the most absurd statement and prove one a stupid, but if
one says that one has foresight and can predict and the predictions
prove to be right, it does not need branch of science to make sure
that one is claiming rightly.

In Yoga and meditation, there are certain laws and principles without
which no one can ever attain or prove anything. It is scientific, but
as it has been part of Ayurveda and millions of people has proved it,
we accept it axiomatically as already proved, and one simply need to
perform it correctly and thus is proof.

It, the yoga has a syllabus and curriculum, so Ayurveda, Yoga and
Mediation are mental activity in which body and mind support it, the
process of transformations. If one practices it wrongly, one can go
insane or even die. So, it is dangerous to follow self-assumed
assumption or following books to do it.

So, she needs right category only. If she claims scientifically,
others, who do not understand science as Eisenstein did may never
accept. Eisenstein says that in the most primitive form of human
knowledge and thus essence of religion is wonder. If we can wonder at
things that amaze us, we are humans otherwise animals. However, it is
not for experimentation, but natural activities, is not it.

How to Understand Schizophrenic Gifts - Part 1

When we consider the schizophrenic people, we may forget that such
people have hobby (or passion) for which they devote their life and
others cannot give high respect they deserves and thus as of their
deep interest in human knowledge, they can detect the level of respect
that others show and craves for the level of respect they feel they
deserve and thus all their claims and other works are as if appeal for
getting some respect and recognition that they feel (the mood problems
arise when they notice anything artificial or plastic in behavior or
anything present in or among others they deserves as I said.

So, we cannot dishonor their works because of some chemical changes,
which are basically mood management that they use for self-defense and
mostly fail in it. Anyone can have any kind of health problem, and the
mental health problems are included, and it does not mean that one has
not worked, researched and so on. In other words, they simply do not
not know how to represent their knowledge, and thus due to wrong
medium, they suffer at our hand, but I strongly believe that we need
to have great concern about it.

Thanks!

Love and Feelings of Reverence - Differences in East and West Sociologically

The other major cultural difference that I have experienced in
Australia about east and west is that the feelings of reverence are
lot more rich than what most of the western people believe to be love.

The love and feelings of reverence differ greatly. Love is usually for
person and the possessions in which one gets boned in affection (as it
is attraction based and inside one wants to posses other in some way
or the other), and the bond that feelings of reverence create is of
affinity (it is not attraction based), the coexistence.

Thus, when we show the bowed face full of feelings of reverence it
appears deep love, and it is true in natural expression of love and
compassion, but not the worldly love as mostly considered as romance.
It is not at all physical, but spiritual, which we the Indians or most
of the easterners have been practicing from ages.

On the other hand, the western people are very honest and accept
everything we express as true, but the cultural differences give the
different meanings that are not intended in biological or
psychological way, rather in philosophical and thus spiritual way. So,
we need to consider the sociological aspects as well because in east
feelings of reverence are always higher than love as it has hidden
points as it goes more of fatherly, motherly, brotherly, sisterly and
similar kind of level of rich emotion that has content of love, but
with feelings of reverence.

Thus, many things need sociological research before claiming it to be
universal, is not it.

How to Learn Language and Cultural Difference - East and West

The communication skills are very much needed when we learn about the
language and cultural differences between east and west.

For example, in west the statement is made like this:

"I'm not a religious person," he says.

Now, the active and passive voice in narration (the direct and
indirect speech) gives such a drastic difference that one can easily
understand why there are so many controversies and conflicts in what
one says from east and west.

The western person puts the indirect voice of the above statement:

("I'm not a religious person," he says.)

As: He says that he is not a religious person.

Now, the ambiguity or irony in the east is that it is said in indirect form as:

"(Active form is: I'm not a religious person," he says.)

He says that I am not a religious person. (Here "I" is for the person,
who is telling or saying it!)

Now, in speech it is always said in this way.

He and she as the nouns are always said as "I" when third person is
quoted saying it.

For example:

"John is my friend," he says.

He says that John is his friend (western style)

He says that John is my friend (eastern style).

Similarly,

"He is my father," she says.

She says that he is her father. (western style)

She says that he is my father. (eastern style).

Now, if we hear or view any audio or video saying anything in which
one quotes "I" as subject may be totally wrong and can be tempered in
such a way as if a true confession, even though it is totally wrong.

So, when we hear or view or even read eastern languages and use of
word "I" in such context, we need to be aware that anyone can misuse
such language and cultural difference as a perfect witness and thus
confession, which many people in the west can believe immediately not
knowing that it is not at all true or evidence.

Thus, there so many other points in which we need to learn the
indirect speech in its true context in the eastern way, otherwise
anyone can fool you by taping, recording and tempering the audios and
videos or even the written words.

I remember writing a thanks letter to one of my good friend, who used
to teach me music for sometime. I wrote that the soul the teacher is
good. In the eastern context, we simply say that teacher is equivalent
to master or guru and the soul of such people, when or if they are
artists is pure soul due to art with which they are blessed.

Someone tempered and presented this letter as if I am in love with my
teacher. It gave such a bad meaning that only God knows what happens
afterward. It almost became an evidence or proof that I am a fraud or
cheater. Thus, respect, appreciation and honor in east in not of body,
but the soul. This the way to salute with feelings of reverence.

I spoke the similar words of reverence to another girl in Australia,
she thought that I loved her and she proposed me for marriage very
seriously. I had explain her through many elaborating letters that we
the eastern and particularly Indians do not mean that feelings of
reverence has anything to do with such mistakenly understood meaning
of words, written or spoken. She realized it and never asked me for
another clarification, we still interact as brother and sister.

So, it needs attention as we are discussing and if you have any such
experience please share. Thanks!

Natural Philosophy vs.Science

Several hundred years ago what is today known as "science" was called
"natural philosophy." The methods of natural philosophers differed
from those of later scientists such as Robert Boyle, Francis Bacon,
and Galileo. Natural philosophers did not test their ideas in a
practical way. They preferred a speculative, philosophical approach
and relied heavily on tradition and authority while making their
statements about the natural world.

In contrast, Boyle and others, beginning in the 17th century,
advocated more systematic validations of their conclusions through
experimentation and replication. Even though their new methodology was
still included under the umbrella term of natural philosophy, the term
science later came into formal use. These pioneers and others were
really the earliest true scientists as we understand that term today.
They used most of the techniques of what we understand today as the
"scientific method," but that term did not come into common use until
the 19th century. Theoretical Aristotelian philosophical speculations
about ultimate purposes and principles in nature were dismissed.
Natural philosophy yielded to modern science.

Today many people think of science as a precise method for proving
things beyond any doubt. They feel a certain reverence for facts
touted to be "scientifically proven." This view of science is
deficient in many ways. It is true that the basic process of
scientific method is mostly held in high regard by both scientists and
the public as a superior vehicle for discovering knowledge of the
natural world and how it works for man's advantage. But a study of
even a small portion of the huge body of literature on the modern
philosophy of science, especially in the last century, will show that
the picture is not so simple. In future posts we will explore some of
the surprising ways modern philosophy has impacted science both
positively and negatively. Science philosophy influences the methods
of gaining knowledge, the scope of the resulting knowledge, and the
implications of the knowledge gained. The same could be said of the
influence of philosophy on any other discipline, ranging from politics
to religion.

How Yoga and Naturopathy Helps in Better Mental Health - Lifestyle, Glands and Health

In Yoga and Naturopathy, it is advised that our glands can increase
secretions and we can balance body and mind, many other mental health
problems are also related with increasing pineal glad secretions. It
is the very reason that in Yoga and Naturopathy, the emotions (which
indicate glandular system - the word Mann or Heart is used to indicate
it) are given more importance.
Meditation focus is for regulating the glandular system and slowing
down (the time duration of inhaling and exhaling of breathe increases)
the breathing system that controls the heart and lung functioning and
lot more. Thus, the entire body and mind systems are synchronized to
get rid of many diseases.
The Asans also support it and then is the food and herbs that promote
all of it. However, even then it can not cure all diseases without
help of chemicals (the medicines) and counseling.
So, we can adopt this lifestyle so that there are no chance of any
diseases as we cannot treat the acute cases or emergency problems that
result from modern lifestyle that usually do not support nature, but
our mind and emotions (wishes and desires) creating the conflicts
among thought, action and feelings. So, the modern medical treatments
are right if we never follow natural lifestyle, we must take medicines
without trying to experiment the home remedies that are not for
emergency cases, but for lifestyle, yes the natural lifestyle.
Thanks!
P.S.: Please always take advice from expert before starting any change
for better health.

How Can You Prove that You are not Mentally Sick

When we consider mental health we do not say that one does not have any illness, but when in yoga and meditation treatment we consider it as the ego problems that create the illness or ailments and thus are treated by making one realize that one cannot know everything and ego is very limited so creates problems like compulsive disorder, mania in which one assumes many things about oneself, inner conflicts that result in bipolar disorder to schizophrenia and lot more, and thus also hormonal imbalances. Lot can be said but I am not the one, who can give definitions of these terms, but I understand it that all of it is emotional suppression that disturbs the ego affecting the intellectual maturity.

So, even though such people may be highly intellectual, they are emotionally immature and behave as if a child - the nine moods transitions that make them laugh, cry, dress well or not well dressed,
showing compassion and apathy alternatively, wonder and sadness alternatively, state or mood of anger and be poised alternatively; and so on.

This is something that Indian Health Siences like Ayurveda in which Yoga and Naturopathy is described and discussed explain. I have studied it, and also studied Sir William James, who studied Indian and
western wisdom, and his contribution in the humanistic psychology is remarkable in which all are believed to have their own (individual) schizoid world (normally considered a serious disease in the modern health sciences, particularly in psychiatry). However, it is only lack of communication skills that make one think and behave inconsistently resulting in symptoms of disease that is not there but lack of skill of self-expression (the emotional suppression - art not developed or underdeveloped) is there hiding
the human potential in the name of mental disease.

So, are you mentally sick or do not have skills of self-expression?

Please think about it and if needed learn the communication skills so that others may not think that you are mentally sick.

How Valid Our Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates Are - Problems in Understanding Yoga and Tantriks - Works of Oldest Organized Yoga Center in the World

I agree with getting degrees, diplomas and other training certificates needed to get license to practice in any field, however, when we talk about practical knowledge and experience it not for surgery, mostly it is for counseling and alternative ways that we use for preventive measures and remedial measure to stop any problem before it manifests as a disease.

We are not saying that modern medical practices are wrong, we are sharing that practices like yoga and meditation have been proved scientifically correct as USA conducted research on it and Swami Yogendra at the Yoga Institute (the Oldest Organized Yoga Center in the World), Santacruz,  Mumbai (Maharashtra) did it for years and all researches were proven right. The books that were written based on these results are taught in the Indian Schools and written by NCERT (National Council of Education Research and Training (India):

National Council Of Educational Research And Training

Like in massage, prayer and faith healing, we all ask others and it helps. The Ayurveda and Indian Classical Music is also example of it that it is by practice not by degree alone.

If one prays by heart it is scientific as well because it enhance faith the need of increasing immunity system.

The reason I give respect, honor and credit to parents, relatives and friends is that they have a great impact in our life, but the expert can give us advice and medicines and all others help us grow and develop. If I start playing with basketball player, I will learn the game, and if I want to achieve something I need expert, the coach for general life learning we do not always need experts as they constitute the general health trends for all in simplified way.

The specialization is must and must be tested or examined closely before one practices it. For example in India and abroad there are many yogis, but there many black magicians (the Tantriks), who claim to be yogis and they harm the society mercilessly. Governments never bother banning there practices and this is something that we in India consider as national harm.

In any case, our point again is that in research we select a topic and prove it, and thus it gives a degree. So, it is not matter of claiming or labeling oneself as expert. One needs to prove and or pass it, is not it.

Do Your Grades Reflect Your Real Potential, the Abilities and Skills

We mostly think and believe that education and studies are just grades
and are tools for earning. We may be right, however, my concern is
that if one is national or international player of basketball, the
credit of it is added into one's total marks. Even many other points
on the similar grounds give more marks or higher grade when we
evaluate anyone academically while including these co-curricular and
thus social contribution factor that we as humans need most besides
just getting educated, becoming of a degree holder.

Thus, the degrees alone are not that important that we ignore
achievements in real life otherwise the distinguished people whether
writers, thinkers, philosophers, philanthropic people, humanitarians
and social works will never get any respect and honor in the society
and thus no one will accept or follow these as living part of real
life.

This seems one of the major reasons that people are after getting
higher education to earn more not to serve more.

If education is aims for earning it is just training, which even dogs
can do and we are humans.

So, please consider my point in this context not just academically as
it enhance only unemployment and there does not seem any solutions
until we consider the factor of social contribution, is not it.
